Liver Flush and Parasites Program in Candida Treatment

By Angie Lindsey
A friend would like to know what products I recommend and what is my liver cleansing and parasite cleansing consist of. She is curious in how I diagnose parasites, or if I just assume that it is a forgone conclusion that most people do in fact have a problem in this area.

The first thing I do with my friend is giving them a 2 hours consultation/questions time. The questions I asked, I have narrowed down so that I will immediately know the outcome in approximately 90% of them. I send away a stool sample as well as bloods. It may not always (candida/parasites) show up in the stool. If it does come back negative and I still suspect something, I review everything and go with my gut feeling.

Every people who comes into see me for any type of auto-immune problem immediately gets put onto three weeks deworming and parasite program and a liver flush. The parasite program includes using Vermox (not sure if you have that in your country as I am not sure where you are from) which is used to clean out the larger worms. I then put them on black walnut, wormwood, and clove combination for three weeks. They take half a cup of Aloe Vera juice per day. This is repeated 5 times in the year. This gets to the microscopic and smaller worms and parasites.

The liver flush is for an 8 week period. Every morning on waking they squeeze juice of one lemon/lime and one tablespoon of cold pressed flax oil. Garlic and ginger are optional. They drink that down and do not eat or drink anything for an hour. I believe that everyone who has candida has parasites, and that is how I diagnose it.

Recommended Candida Test - Should I Stop Taking Supplements Before?

By Angie Lindsey
Someone is going to her fourth specialist this Friday and this time she is going armed with as much info as possible so that she can get some candida tests which means besides the culture that half the time shows yeast and half the time doesn't. So, she needs opinions in which tests to insist upon. The person she is going to meet is an M.D. (gynecologist) specializing in infectious disease. She is also thinking that she may have vulvadynia also. She doesn't know if he knows anything about that, but she will not be leaving his office with nothing again. She is also curious if supplements will affect the test and if she should stop taking all of them.

The primary test I recommend is the candida-antibody assay. It is a blood test which will analyze specific things about IgM, IgG, and IgA levels.

As for the supplements, I don't think that they will affect the test. Perhaps to the fungals, but I would take the list of my supplements into my specialist so that he can take into account any deficiencies if he does a full blood nutritional workup. If you can provide a list of your supplements and dosages, as well as how many times daily you take them and for how long, he may be able to determine if your body is having a hard time getting the nutritional balance it needs in capsule or tablet form.

That is part of the reason that I added Perfect Food and SportPharma's liquid protein without sugar to my daily regimen, to get all of the nutrients into the blood in liquid form. I have heard that it is absorbed more completely that way, but I still take all of the tablets and capsules as well.

Candida Treatment With Enemas and Colonics Plus Liver Flush

By Angie Lindsey
This article will discuss a way to do the best candida treatment. I give my friends some liver/gallbladder detox tea which I make up. They drink one cup a day. They continue this for 5 days on and three days off, repeated. They also will do two days liver flushes using Epson salts, grapefruit juice, wormwood, vitamin C (can forward the program based on Hulda Clark's formula). This cleans out the liver and gall bladder. They end of the flush with a colonic to clear out all the bile and gall stones. It is amazing! I try keeping the liver "clean" and detoxified so it will be able to cope with all the die-off of the candida and parasites.

They go onto an 80/30% ratio raw and cooked food diet for 10 days and then I ease them into the candida diet. I support the immune system at all times with vitamins and minerals. They then go onto antifungal supplements and then probiotics. Regular fasting takes place using juices. I advocate fresh vegetable juicing every single day. Enemas and colonics are used for those willing to go that route. Those that do it are the ones that heal the fastest. If the bowel is filled with old faecal matter and people are constipated, candida will continue to grow and multiply.

You can continue doing all the right things but it will remain in that old mucus and faecal matter. Clean out the gut on a regular basis (many times a year) and you will see results. It is a long hard process that takes months and even years to cure. People are always looking for that quick fix and easy out. You fall down and you back at square one.

I work closely with two psychologists who like me believe that the stomach, colon and mind work hand in hand. Many people with any type of autoimmune problem often if not most times do have psychological issues. If you work on both areas, the results are incredible!

Keep Gaining More Weight in Candidiasis - Balancing Diet and Exercise

By Angie Lindsey
Someone I know with candidiasis gained weight from 40 to 50 pounds, 1 inch on her arms, 2 inches on her legs, and 10 to 12 inches on her stomach. The thing is her waist was always the last place her weight went on. She has been quite depressed for the last year. She was an avid exerciser, and let it all go. She is trying to get back into it, but she finds herself so discouraged with the progress. She is not really following the diet, but she is working out daily and got no change at all. Now, I guess she knows she needs to follow that diet faithfully and just have to do it!

My waist was always small, too, until a year ago, when it just ballooned, along with my lower abs. That is why I was trying to continue adding Dr. Schulz intestinal cleanses or the bentonite/psyllium mixture to my program everyday, to try to get crud out and moving.

Still, the addiction and craving is really hard. I find the first three days are the toughest, and after that, a weekend with friends is even tougher. You can go to have to be a complete hermit for 3 weeks to get really serious about the results, or maybe try hypnosis and then see if that will help with cravings.

Who knows? Stick with the work out and starting the diet. I am trying to add the exercise again, but I just feel so lazy a lot of the time. You are lucky if you can do it regularly.

Beginning Candida Treatment - Finding Yourself - Have No More Carbs and Sugar

By Angie Lindsey
One of my friends is just discovered her having candidiasis after doing some researches on her symptoms, and asked me how to begin the candida treatment. She has been exhausted for months or maybe years with achy joints, swelling, headaches, stuffy nose (almost constant), GI symptoms, itchy, achy throat/eustatian tubes, vaginal yeast infections in past 2 years, craving for sugars and carbs, and a lovely case of brain fog. Doctor says she is fine and those symptoms are probably stress related. Needless to say, she is excited to finally have a possible answer.

But now, she confused in where to start. She doesn't have lots of money at this point, but she doesn't know if jumping in deep right away is the answer either. She thought for a while that she would start with a high quality probiotic (such as Primal Defense), a bowel cleanse along with a parasite cleanse, and then start fighting the yeast. She doesn't think her gut is in very good condition, so she wants to know if it is best to renew and strengthen that before working on the yeast. She is worried when she reads about fasts and doesn't think she could fast for more than a couple of hours let alone days.

Honestly, I was the same way before the diet, but now I don't really care about when I can have my next carbs (believe me I never thought I'd say that). One starts on this voyage by finding someone who can make sense of things and will accurately diagnose the problem. I don't know if you have insurance or not, but a lot of insurance's are now coming around to the idea of more natural healing and covering naturopathic doctors. See if yours does and get an appointment. If you don't have insurance, go to the health food store and pick the brains of some of the people there. Tell them you need to start gradually for financial reasons and keep reading things here.

You basically just have to understand that what you have. Candida can be likened to a parasitic condition, much like a tape worm. So what you have to do is to starve them. You need to try to cut out some of the refined sugars like cookies, cakes, chips, and most other "junk" foods. It is not easy, but it's well worth it when you start to feel better.

Tips to Ensure Your School's Safety Equipment Is Ready to Save a Life

By Alex A Robinson
Tips to Ensure Your School's Safety Equipment is Ready to Save a Life - Annual, Monthly and Daily Preparedness Strategies to Support Your Equipment and AED Battery

It's not enough for schools to just have safety equipment readily available in the event of an emergency - it must be in working order to be effective. All AED batteries and equipment must be reexamined at varying levels annual, monthly and even daily to ensure peak performance.

Annual Maintenance Tips

In addition to your school's ongoing safety communication strategies that ensure new students, teachers, staff and volunteers understand the safety program and are ready to save a life if needed, each year your safety team needs to take a detailed look at the school's equipment to guarantee everything is powered and working properly. Please consult with your fire department or emergency medical service for a customized plan as well as your safety medical equipment provider to get tips on your specific brand of life-saving tools. For example, users of LIFEPAK Automated External Defibrillators would follow these simple steps:

LIFEPAK Annual Maintenance
1. Open the AED lid
2. Close the lid
3. Confirm that the AED battery is powered and the STATUS INDICATOR states OK
4. Make sure the expiration date is visible through the clear window of the lid
5. Check to make sure that the STATUS INDICATOR states OK
6. Open the lid and confirm that no diagnostics indicators are lit
7. Check the expiration dates of the pads; if expired, replace them
8. Check the electrodes packaging integrity
9. Close the lid
10. Examine the molded case of the AED for any visible signs of stress

Monthly Maintenance

On a monthly basis, safety team leads should continue to check the AED battery and safety equipment. Again, please refer to your community's emergency professionals and your school's safety equipment provider for specific tips and details on your brand of life-saving equipment. For example, schools using Philips HeartStart OnSite Automated External Defibrillators would follow these steps monthly:

Philips HeartStart Monthly Maintenance
1. Open Carry Case
2. Ensure the status indicator is blinking green
3. Remove AED from Case
4. Check expiration dates on pads
5. Check expiration date on the AED battery
6. Place AED back in case and zip closed

Daily checks of the AED battery and emergency medical products are not time consuming and should be completed in order to be ready to respond to an emergency any time of the month or year. At the very least each day, your school safety personnel should verify that the battery of your AED is charged (often represented by a green Status Indicator light) and that the unit is easily accessible.

By following these suggestions and partnering with your community's emergency service provider as well as the school's safety equipment provider, you can be confident that you will always be prepared in the event of an emergency.

Think Back to Know What Causes Your Yeast Infections

By Angie Lindsey
I have a suggestion for anyone who has recently started having yeast infections. Please think back what you have changed when the yeast start showing up. I say this because last November a friend suddenly started having infections constantly. So, she has been going to both her PCP and her gynecologist only to be told that some women have to deal with it and offered some Diflucan.

She would always ask why it started happening out of the blue as she has never been to the doctor for this in her life, and she never got an answer. Well, she started thinking back and realized that she had one infection probably from the sudden increase in intercourse that she was having (when you go from none for about a year to constantly, it can cause an infection). Well, shortly after that she started taking the pill. She noticed that a couple of days after her monthly visitor would leave, she would be okay, but after about 3 or 4 days if she is lucky it (the yeast) would be right back with a vengeance like it missed her or something.

Well, I said all of that to say she stopped taking the pill 3 weeks ago and there are no signs of yeast anymore. I am so happy for her that I want to tell everyone to think back and if you're taking the pill and it makes you feel sick to your stomach you may try to contact your gynecologist for a different kind. It is because your body should get use to the change in your hormones within two or three months.

Fight Off Candida Albicans - Contradictive Opinion Against Protein

By Angie Lindsey
This friend of mine just got put on a diet to help fight off the Candida Albicans and other toxins. It is a really strict one; no sugar, fruit, starch, etc. His question is he lifts weights. He is used to a high protein diet, which his nutritionist is against all that. What he is wondering is if protein can affect Candida growth. He always thought protein was good for the immune system. He wants to know what I think.

Well his nutritionist is against protein. The carbs he is getting are all from vegetables. So, he guessed adding protein without the sugar will not contribute to Candida is what he was trying to get at really. The nutritionist believes high protein diets are the cause of all evils. He just wants to straighten out his health, though. He said he is not going to stop lifting and one cannot survive on soy alone.

My first instinct would be to say that he needs to be on a high protein diet, as a high carbohydrate one is conducive to candida growth. However, because he does weight training, it is possible that was the reason the nutritionist wanted him to have a greater ratio of carbs to proteins than it is usually recommended, if for no other reason than for the energy. Personally, if I eat high complex carbs, I make sure I eat them early in the day, so I have the rest of the day to digest and eliminate them. You might want to ask about that and in the meantime try to focus your carbs around exercise.

The nutritionist is not alone in his thinking. One of my therapists works for a chiropractor who says that people with hypoglycemia need less protein (the prevailing thought is that those with hypoglycemia need more protein and are generally in that state due to carbohydrate overload). His argument is that it gives the pancreas a rest if you avoid protein, most specifically animal protein. But, I can attest to the fact that high carbs/low protein meals send me into a state of headaches and lethargy. Plus, plant-based proteins are not complete proteins and my body treats them as though they were carbs.

What I have learned is that I will never fully turn over my care to anyone, including my doctor. I wish mine was more of a purist, but overall I agree with her suggestions. However, when she suggested Neosporin for what I believe to be a fissure, I quickly called the herb lady and found something else. So, my suggestion is to go with your gut and if it doesn't work out, your body will let you know your program needs adjusting.
